Stryker aspired to set their brand apart by creating a new standard for the appearance and fit & finish of the high acuity market.
We began by establishing three primary objectives to tackle this challenge. First, to reconcile the hospital staff’s need for efficiency with the patient’s need for emotional and physical comfort. Second, to tastefully apply state of the art technology, and third, to integrate current and emerging hospital style trends. Starting with a divergent approach, we identified a broad spectrum of concept opportunities and then began to evolve into a more refined focus for development of engineered solutions. The SF team built physical mockups early and often to explore and validate improved ergonomics and evaluate proportion and scale. Our team also supported graphical user interface development to translate Stryker’s advanced technologies into an intuitive and seamlessly integrated experience for the user.
