Sundberg-Ferar Welcomes David Byron as Principal

Sundberg-Ferar, a leading design and innovation firm in Michigan, is pleased to announce that David Byron is joining the ownership team as Principal. For over eleven years, David has been a key contributor to the firm’s success as a designer, and since becoming Director in 2018 has been pivotal in advancing the company’s research, strategy, and design services.

As Sundberg-Ferar celebrates its 90th year, David will continue as Director of Innovation Strategy while also guiding the company’s strategic vision alongside Grey Parker, Principal and CEO, and David Thimm, Principal and Director of Design.

David’s ability to think big and ask the right questions helps organizations identify their most compelling future opportunities. His years of experience taking a design from sketch to concept, to production, combined with his strategic vision, helps organizations connect the dots between what the future should look like and how to deliver it.

David’s extensive career before joining Sundberg-Ferar included roles at GM, ASC, SALEEN, and Warrior Sports, he gathered a wealth of diverse experiences having been on both the client and OEM side of the innovation process across diverse industries at varying sizes.

He is also the President of the Michigan Design Council, a non-profit focused on design talent in Michigan, and an adjunct instructor at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit.
