Today, a break-through product was launched that has overcome limitations in the process of single-cell analysis. Celsee, Inc’s inaugural product, the Genesis System, which Sundberg-Ferar helped realize, will have significant implications in single-cell analysis across the life science and precision medicine fields.

Celsee, Inc is a privately held company based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and is focused on single-cell analysis and interpretation technology. With their Genesis System, they have created a scalable way to collect cell behavior information that was undetectable until now. Their product increases cell viability and reproducibility in the analysis process using a gentle, gravity-based method to isolate individual cells. The product achieves over 70% capture efficiency and also offers an open and flexible platform for direct use with blood and tissue samples.

Sundberg-Ferar was consultant to Celsee in the industrial design of their ground-breaking product. In addition to the Genesis System, Sundberg-Ferar has designed many medical products including a hospital bed for Michigan local brand, Stryker, a heart-lung machine and tissue  stabilizer for open-heart surgery, and electromagnetic bone growth stimulators. The SF team is thrilled to see the launch of this product that will open doors and fuel advancements for the life sciences and precision medicine in Michigan and the world.
