SF Cocktail Competition #2!

Back by popular demand, for this week’s SF Happy Hour, we had another cocktail making competition! The bar was raised from our last Happy Hour competition and everyone brought their A Game.

We simply must mention the runner up. It was Sara, our Design Research Manager, with her “Guilty Pleasure” cocktail: Bourbon, cold coffee, and Jordan’s Skinny Syrups Irish Cream, mixed with a homemade syrup of maple syrup, anise, cloves, ginger, and cinnamon, and served in an edible homemade shot glass made from chocolate-coated bacon!

This week’s prize winner, however, was Evan, Sr. Product Designer & HMI Specialist, for his savory cocktail on ice with Constant Comment orange pekoe tea, Grand Marnier, Limoncello, McLary Brothers “Apple Pie” drinking vinegar, cinnamon sticks, and sriracha honey! For his prize, he’ll receive a canvas-mounted photo of a Rose-breasted Grosbeak, taken by none other than Jeevak, our Director of Strategic Growth.

The team also learned together from David Byron, our Manager of Design & Innovation Strategy, and also a passionate innovator of cocktails. David prepared and gave us all a live tutorial on the tools and fundamentals of creative cocktail-making!

Our weekly SF Happy Hour competitions are just one way we keep it light, and stay tight as a creative team while we continue to innovate with our clients in the midst of the COVID19 crisis. To learn how you can also leverage industrial design thinking to fuel growth for your business during this time, click here. For more on how we’re continuing our services and collaborative design process with our clients, especially now, click here.

Stay tuned for next week’s competition!
