The 3rd Edition of Virtual Design Conversations is here!
Sundberg-Ferar is hosting this free virtual event to connect with and inspire each other on May 27th, 12:00-4:00pm EDT.
Enough doom and gloom about cancelled conferences, no air-travel, no large gatherings, WFH notices, wearing face masks, and all the rest of it. We can still aspire to learn, connect, and have fun together. We all need to cheer up a bit, and we, the design community, are the ones known for our optimism! This is our time to shine!

Jeevak brings energy, passion & curiosity to his role at Sundberg-Ferar. With his unique blend of education and experience in industrial design, engineering and business, he is a rallying voice for the alignment and optimal inclusion of the end user’s un-met needs, and unspoken wants in the core value proposition of a company’s products & service portfolio to generate sought-after shareholder value. Jeevak has more than 23 years of professional design experience, first in India for 7 years at Tata Motors, and then in the U.S. for 16 years at GM Design and now Sundberg-Ferar. Beyond his role at SF, Jeevak is a board member of many prominent design associations and think tanks including the Michigan Design Council, Aether Design Group, and Detroit Creative Corridor. He also served on IDSA’s International board for 6 years and chaired IDSA’s 2017 flagship International Design Conference: “Design IS Business”. In his copious amounts of spare time, Jeevak can be found indulging his love of kickboxing, and obstacle course running, or photographing birds in obscure parts of the world.

Keith Dumigan

Keith Dumigan is an industrial designer and the Manager of the Design Studio for Bridgestone Americas. The Design Studio is based in the Americas Technical Center in Akron, Ohio and provides design support to enhance product design and user experience across a wide range of current and emerging mobility solutions.
Keith and his team are passionate and experienced design thinkers working across both product and service domains to discover new human centered insights and deliver value for both the business and the end user. In addition to practicing and teaching design thinking, the team has also has been responsible for designing collaborative spaces and working sessions where teammates and strategic partners co-create solutions for the future of Mobility.
In addition to working at Bridgestone for over 16 years, Keith has also worked for other corporations in the North-East Ohio area including American Greetings, Century Products and Step2. Keith studied Industrial Design at Kent State University and later earned his M.B.A, Strategic Marketing at the University of Akron and has been awarded 46 US Patents for design work.

John Arthur is a Segment Manager for John Deere where he leads teams to create innovative solutions through a human-centric mindset. John grew up on a poultry farm located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of rural Northeast Georgia. Growing up in this environment provided him with an appreciation for the complex physical and spiritual relationship between humans and nature often depicted in song and art from the southern Appalachians. In 1994 John graduated from the University of Georgia in with a degree in Agricultural Engineering; he is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Georgia.
For over 25 years John has worked in the off-road equipment industry serving in various engineering, marketing, and sales positions. His collective work and life experience drive his passion for encouraging and enabling team members to fall in love with the target customers’ problem, before falling in love with a singular, narrowly-focused idea.
John is a Christ-follower, a husband-in-training for 25 years, and the father to two teenage daughters. John currently serves as the President of John Deere’s FFA Alumni & Supporters corporate chapter and is an avid supporter of adoption and related charities. His hobbies include “fixin’ broke stuff”, playing guitar & ukulele, backcountry hiking & camping, fly fishing, kayaking, photography, carpentry, SCUBA diving, rock climbing, and lots of other stuff that requires an enormous amount of ridiculously expensive gear.

Jeff was Vice President and a Principal of S-F from 1992 until the end of 2018. During that time his primary focus was developing product strategies for clients using Sundberg-Ferar’s Genesis™ process, which he developed to ensure companies are strategically and tactically poised to create and develop winning products. Jeff’s passion has always been creating emotive and functionally innovative product solutions for industry leaders in areas such as home products, automotive interiors, major appliances, housewares, and system furniture, to name a few. He also worked in China, Europe and Latin America, converting unique cultural needs into products aimed at regional markets. Jeff holds numerous mechanical and design patents, and has taught courses at the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit and at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Jeff is now an advisor to the Sundberg-Ferar leadership and innovation strategy team.
