Prasanna is an engineer with a multidisciplinary understanding of the product development process. His background in design helps him understand the user better to develop meaningful products that enriches lives. At Sundberg-Ferar, he has participated in a wide variety of activities including user research, product teardowns, CAD modeling and Robot software development to name a few.
Prasanna began his education with a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from IIT Bombay in India. Following his Bachelors, he pursued graduate studies at Carnegie Mellon where he took full advantage of the multidisciplinary environment to gain knowledge in both Robotics and Design thinking. Furthermore, at CMU, he had a brief stint at Entrepreneurship and won the Best startup Pitch award at the ThrillMill start-up bootcamp. Finally, to gain a holistic understanding of the product design process, he went onto pursue graduate studies in industrial design from Georgia Tech. Prasanna started out as an intern at Sundberg-Ferar in 2018 when he designed and programmed the robotic model of the Hyundai Elevate walking car which was unveiled at CES 2019.
Outside of work, he loves cooking, hiking, photography and reading books on psychology.
