Eric is driven by making products that the end-user loves. He enjoys thinking about how the customer will interact with the product, and what will make the best possible experience. Eric is always looking for elegant solutions to complex problems. After all, if the design engineer has done his job correctly, the end-user shouldn’t realize how difficult the problem was in the first place.
Prior to joining Sundberg-Ferar, Eric worked in both the electrical and engine design areas as a senior design engineer and project leader at Honda. He also worked as senior design engineer at Husqvarna Outdoor Products. He has designed a diverse variety of automotive and power equipment parts from minivan gauge clusters, to sport sedan radiators, to engine housings for weed whackers. This experience has given him design know-how with many different materials and production methods, as well as in designing for assembly and serviceability.
Outside of work, you can find Eric tinkering with cars, watching Formula One, brewing beer, and traveling with his wife.
